OUR LONG TERM GOAL?
To raise a minimum of $10,000 to purchase equipment and renovate a local storefront into a bakery. We will be serving a variety of treats from our kitchen including cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes, single serving pies, refreshments, and more!
WHO IS SUGAR GIRL?
Sugar Girl is a small local cupcakery. We have a true passion for all things sweet and we love to share that with our customers.
There is joy in presenting people with food that makes them smile and when it comes to dessert, those smiles are amplified. We crave bold flavors with amazing textures and love food that takes us in new directions. We are a small company that sources local, fresh ingredients whenever possible. This allows us to bring seasonality to our treats. Most of all, we believe that “yummy” is not just an adjective, it’s a feeling. And that is how we want people to feel when they bite into a Sugar Girl creation. Whether its bringing you back to a childhood memory or taking your taste buds someplace they’ve never been, we are glad to take you there.
HOW WILL THE MONEY BE USED?
If our project is funded, we will be able to purchase the equipment necessary to make our dream come true. We will post pictures of our progress online so that all of our backers can see our kitchen take shape. In addition to bringing our vision of sweetness to the people, we're really interested in building a small business that can help build a stronger community. Our plans include an internship each year for 1-2 high school students from the area that are interested in baking or want hands-on experience in how a small business is run.
We are offering some wonderful incentives! Everything from our amazing cupcakes, limited addition t-shirts, variety boxes mailed to your door, and a party or class for you and your friends. But truly best of all, besides a place in our hearts forever, all backers of Sugar Girl’s bakery will have their name added to the list of "Candy Angels” and will be displayed at the bakery for all the world to see your kindness.
